Bandar Seri Begawan – On the 22nd June 2009, E-Business Leadership Forum (EBLF) conducted its first dialogue session, with the private sector which was held at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Hotel and Country Club. This dialogue is one of the platforms for EBLF to conduct its public consultation with business communities especially the SMEs to build better understanding and to actively involve them as EBLF partners and stakeholders in formulating e-business strategies and implementation plan. The main objective of this dialogue session is to understand what e-Business is as well as to exchange views on what is expected of e-Business in Brunei Darussalam. It is noted that the understanding of what e-business is may vary from an individual to individual as to business to business. In order to obtain a same level of understanding and to be in par with other countries, a dialogue session with the local businesses is important and is considered to be good practice. Aside from gathering information and sharing experiences, this dialogue session is also to prepare for the formulation of e-Business Strategic Implementation Plan and the shaping of Work Programme for e-Business in Brunei Darussalam. |
